Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; playground / park / athletic field; playground / park / athletic field; playground / park / athletic field; and playground / park / athletic field.

The scope of project includes Additions, Renovations, Site Work, and other Improvements to an existing educational facility and site on two parcels. New construction will include a two-story Classroom and Auditorium Addition (20k+ SF); Construction of a pedestrian bridge over Mazzoni Place; with elevator and stair; Interior renovations including an expanded cafeteria, new Learning and Media Centers, 4-stop elevator in existing shaft; new interior stairs and ramps; Building Systems and replacements; new windows and doors; site work; and all work described or inferred in the Contract Documents. At the project site West of Mazzoni Place: Construction will include a new one-story addition story 4k+/- SF; renovation of existing locker rooms; New Classrooms and other improvements. At the existing adjacent freestanding gymnasium: Construction shall include modifications to existing exterior building wall, siding, and grade beam, access stair and ramp modifications; covered walkway, Play field, site work and other improvements, described or inferred in the Contract Documents. Work throughout includes improvements, renovations, upgrades, and modifications to: building systems, HVAC systems; electrical, plumbing, fire sprinkler, and life safety systems; building envelope improvements; casework and fixed furnishings; finishes; signage, and other work All questions concerning the bidding documents, plans and specifications shall be submitted to the North Bergen Board of Education's Architect in writing no later than Tuesday, November 16th, 2021, to allow for issuance of a response to all Bidders. From October 20th through December 3rd, 2021 A bidder's proposal must be accompanied by a Surety's Consent and either a bid bond or Certified check for not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount of the bid or $20,000.00 maximum whichever is the lesser Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the Contract Price. Bidder and requisite Subcontractors shall be NJ DPMC Pre-Qualified Contractors. Substantial Completion, and Temporary Certificate of Occupancy, must be in place in accordance with the Project Milestone Schedule in the Bid Form. Final Completion of all work, with Certificate of Occupancy, must be in place no later than March 31, 2024. North Bergen Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all Bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22, as well as the right to waive all immaterial informalities in accordance with applicable law, in awarding a contract.
