The project is in Oro Valley, Arizona. All work will be in the Oro Valley Community Center parking lot, located at 10555 North La Cañada Drive. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete phased improvements while maintaining public access during construction. Work includes providing all required traffic control (note Traffic Control is Lump Sum), safety measures, and SWPPP compliance; removing and reinstalling wheel stops; removing existing extruded curb and replacing it in the same location with Class 3000 concrete with contraction joints at 10-foot intervals; saw-cutting asphalt; disposing of all demolition materials off-site; repairing or replacing base material as needed; regrading landscape islands. Pavement work includes removing 4 inches of existing asphalt pavement, placing 1.5 inches aggregate base course (ABC) and 2.5 inches of asphalt concrete pavement (AC) PAG - Mix No. 2, and performing all required testing per the latest PAG Specifications. The contractor will need to have the existing sub-base tested and provide density tests, and restripe the parking area to match the existing layout, including ADA-compliant stalls, van-accessible spaces, access aisles, directional arrows, symbols, and installation of reflectorized pavement markers. The Contractor shall maintain the site in a neat and orderly condition, providing trash containers and daily disposal if needed, and ensure that materials on site are stored in an organized manner acceptable to the Town of Oro Valley. Work shall occur during normal business hours, and may include nights, weekends, or holidays to complete the project, the Contractor shall submit a project schedule with updates. Three job signs (showing the scope of work and phasing map), 24 by 36-inch boards shall be placed as directed and are required and will be provided by the contractor, and the Contractor must coordinate public access, inspections, and approved lay-down areas with the Town of Oro Valley. If unforeseen conditions materially differ from those anticipated, the Town of Oro Valley will investigate the on-site subbase material that is unsuitable and issue equitable adjustments as appropriate. Estimated Construction Cost Range -$500,000 to $1,000,000 Bids must be presented on the Bidder's Proposal Forms provided herein. Each bid must be accompanied by cashier's check, certified check, or Bidder's Bond on the bond form provided herein, payable to the Town of Oro Valley in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid.
