This project is for the construction of a medium voltage (15 KV) electrical distribution ductbank from V building area on West Campus to existing East Campus ductbank near EC building. Project address: 6011 Harry Hines Blvd, Dallas TX 75235 The project will consist of phase 1 construction of a medium voltage (15 KV) electrical distribution ductbank from UTSW V Locke Building (School of Health Professions) area on West Campus to existing East Campus ductbank near EC building (Harold C. Simmons Radiation Oncology). Ductbank will provide power to East Campus (EB, EC, EF, and BMES [under construction] buildings). Ductbank will be concrete encased and will make use of trenchless construction in areas near or under roadways. Ductbank will include 7 utility manholes/vaults for access. Ductbank will merge with the existing ductbank, constructed for UTSW EC Building at existing manhole EMH2E. . Anticipated project start date: March 1, 2022 . Project duration: 248 Calendar Days ; General Contractor achieves Final Completion November 2022 Question Submission Close Date 11/8/2021 12:00 PM CST General MEP: The existing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems throughout the project area (including but not limited to ductwork, diffusers, returns, power, data, and plumbing lines) as well as the building chilled water system and loop will be altered as necessary to accommodate the scope of work. This project must be completed while minimizing disruption to adjacent spaces and equipment which will remain active throughout construction. Utility shutdowns and disruptive work may be required to be completed after normal business hours or on weekends. Any ACM removal required during demolition is to be the responsibility of the contractor.
