Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Vancouver, Washington. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Description of work: This project will consist of the replacement of Davis Bridge #232, a single span concrete girder bridge and the reconstruction of travel lanes leading up to the bridge. Work to be preformed includes clearing, grubbing, excavation, grading and paving, stream diversion, concrete work, installation of micropiles and bridge superstructure, guardrail and other work. Primary bid items: Project Temporary Traffic Control; Bridge Removal; Tree Removal; Common Barrow Incl. Haul; Structure Excavation Incl. Haul; Shoring or Extra Excavation Class A; Crushed Surface Base Course, HMA Cl. In. 58H-22; Concrete Class 4000; Bridge Approach Slab; Superstructure Davis Bridge #232; micropile; Temporary Stream Diversion; Topsoil Type A; Beam Guardrail. Bidders are encouraged to Register as a Bidder in order to receive automatic email notification of future addenda and to be placed on the Bidders List. Electronic and paper copies of bid documents are not available from Clark County. It is the sole responsibility of the Bidder to obtain Addenda, if any. Such information may be obtained from the web site, (Posted Projects, Public Works, Clark County and Projects Bidding). Clark County accepts no responsibility or liability and will provide no accommodation to bidders who fail to check for addenda and submit inadequate or incomplete bids. Questions and requests for clarification must be submitted using the electronic CRP Inquiry Submittal Form located on the County website, Responses will be posted on the projects Bid Inquiry Log. All bids must be submitted on the forms provided in the bid documents. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the Bidders company name, project title, project number, bid opening date, and SEALED BID clearly marked on the outside of the envelope. Bids submitted by FAX or email will not be accepted. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract and furnish a satisfactory contract bond, the bid deposit shall be forfeited to Clark County. Clark County, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
