**As of January 28, 2022, the project was awarded to Cutler Repaving, Inc of Lawrence, KS and the awarded amount is $1,489,022.84.** This work will provide the labor, material, and equipment needed to repave approximately 125,950.42 square yards of public streets. The project proposes to remediate asphalt pavement along various locations within city's jurisdiction. This project proposes to resurface pavement by milling, salvaging, recycling, and relaying existing asphalt. Existing storm sewer inlets, manholes, and additional appurtenances are adjusted accordingly, base and concrete repairs are made as necessary, and street markings are re-striped. A Bidder's Bond from a reliable surety company licensed to operate in the State of Texas or certified Cashier's Check, payable without recourse to the City of Pharr, for the amount of not less than five (5) percent (%) of the total bid shall accompany the bid as a guaranty that, if awarded the contract,the bidder will enter into a contract with the City of Pharr within the time specified. Payment and Performance Bonds shall be executed except in the event that the total amount bid is $50,000 or less, the successful contractor has the option to enter into a single payment contract with the City of Pharr in lieu of a Performance Bond. In the event that the total amount bid is $25,000 or less, the successful contractor has the option to enter into a single payment contract with the City of Pharr in lieu of a Payment and Performance Bond. Failure to execute contracts within the time specified shall forfeit to the Owner, as liquidated damages for such failure or refusal, the security (bid bond) deposited with his bid.
