Site work for a road / highway in Port St Lucie, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

As of 1/14/2022 project was already awarded for $229,799.20. The purpose of this invitation to bid is to identify and contract with a responsive and responsible Contractor to furnish and install fully assembled neighborhood regulatory speed limit signs in 27 neighborhoods within the City of Port St. Lucie. All work shall be completed within one hundred eighty (180) calendar days with no option to renew. The City has estimated implementing the neighborhood speed limit reduction from 30 to 25 MPH citywide will require installation of 1,130 new signs and removal of approximately 1,700 existing signs within the 27 neighborhoods. The neighborhoods included: 1. Bayshore Heights 10. Hidden Oaks 19. Sandhill Crossing 2. Becker Ridge 11. Lyngate 20. Sandpiper Bay 3. Canal Pointe 12. Morningside 21. Southbend Lakes 4. Cashmere Cove 13. Northport Village 22. St. Lucie North 5. Crane Landing 14. Oak Hammock 23. Swan Park 6. Fairgreen Crossings 15. Paar Estates 24. Torino 7. Floresta Gardens 16. Palm Trails 25. Tulip Park 8. Floresta Pointe 17. Riverview 26. Whispering Pines 9. Gatlin Pines 18. Rosser Reserve 27. Woodland Trails Standard Speed Limit Sign Assemblies shall include the following: a) Regulatory Speed Limit 25 sign (R2-1) and RESIDENTIAL (R2-5cP) plaque meeting the requirements of the latest M.U.T.C.D b) Speed Limit signs shall be 18" x 24" on 0.080" thick aluminum blanks c) Posts shall be 2" square galvanized steel d) Mounting Hardware shall be included Note: Horizontal clearances and offsets from edge of pavement, sidewalks, crosswalks, etc. shall meet criteria set forth by the M.U.T.C.D., FDOT Standard Plans, and the FDOT Design Manual. In accordance with Florida law, the Contractor shall call Sunshine 811 to locate utilities prior to digging. Prior to installation, the Contractor shall identify the actual field location for each sign with the City's designee. No sign shall be erected without the prior approval of the City. Installation and Removal: a) All signs shall be installed in accordance with latest FDOT Standard Plans. All signs will be located within the City limits and locations shall be approved by the City prior to installation. b) The Contractor will be required to remove existing 30 MPH speed limit signs within ALL neighborhoods and return them to 821 SW Dwyer Avenue or as directed by City staff. It may also be a requirement to remove old bases and backfill with suitable soils. Acceptance: Contractor to provide a single unit for final approval prior to producing the remaining orders. Method of Implementation and Schedule: Contractor shall meet with the City prior to commencement of work to determine the method of implementation and schedule for installation of signs within each neighborhood. Contractor to provide a single unit for approval prior to producing the remaining orders. The City of Port St. Lucie reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any and all informalities or irregularities, to negotiate with any qualified Proposers, and to accept or reject all or any part of any proposal as it may deem to be in the best interest of the citizens of the City.
