Remodeling of a mixed-use development in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the remodel of a municipal facility.

***As of February 8, 2022, the project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.*** As per KonText Architects the first set of documents provided were incorrect, as of November 17th, 2021 the new correct set has been uploaded. 20-094 BID1: Administration Building Nursing/Break Room: In general, the work consists of select removal of existing case work, ceiling grid system, HVAC and plumbing in existing break room to create new nursing room and smaller break room. New work includes walls, ceilings, plumbing, electrical and HVAC. BID2: Public Works Maintenance Building: In general, the work consists of select removal of existing walls and concrete floor to accommodate new restroom. New electrical, HVAC, plumbing fixtures and accessories will be installed. BID3: Parks Office/Shop: In general, the work consists of removal and construction of select existing walls to accommodate new offices, toilet/shower room, break room/ kitchennete and shop area. Electrical, HVAC and plumbing work are included. This will be a phased project to allow the shop equipment to be utilized throughout construction. Plans and bid documents are published on bid distribution networks DemandStar and VendorNet. 1. Project Location (Bid 1): City Hall Nursing/Break Room (A) a. 300 E. Main Street, Sun Prairie 2. Project Location (Bid 2): Public Works Maintenance Building (M) a. 201 South Bristol Street, Sun Prairie 3. Project Location (Bid 3): Parks Office/Shop (P) a. 906 South Bird Street, Sun Prairie Attendance of these conferences is strongly encouraged by all bidders. Bidders are asked to meet at the main entrance of each building for the conference. No bid shall be considered unless accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond equal to 10% of the bid amount payable to the City of Sun Prairie as a guarantee that if their bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file a Contract within ten (10) days after such acceptance. The accepted bidder will execute and file the Agreement and the Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount equal to 100% of the bid amount within ten (10) days of Notice of Award. All questions about the meaning or intent of these documents shall be submitted to the Architect - KONTEXT architects, llc via email at submittals@kontextarchitects. com, with the RFB#21-BM40 in the subject line, no later than 3:00 P.M. October 27, 2021. Questions received after this day and time will not be answered. All applicable charter and statutory provisions are incorporated into said Contract. The successful bidder shall be required to conform to all Federal and State OSHA requirements. Prevailing wage does not apply to this project; however, "living" wages do apply. The City of Sun Prairie and its agencies are exempt from payment of all federal tax and Wisconsin state and local taxes on its purchases except Wisconsin excise tax. The City of Sun Prairie reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding process. Bids may be held by the City of Sun Prairie for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
