Project Description The City of Gretna is constructing a new community recreation and aquatics center; and related site grading, improvements, utilities, parking, outdoor swimming/aquatics facility, indoor competition pool, and other infrastructure to support the community and recreation center. The recreation and aquatics center will consist of approximately 70,000 square feet of indoor recreation and aquatics space, in combination with approximately 85,000 square feet of outdoor aquatics space, located at 12358 S. 208th Ave., Gretna, Nebraska 68028. All Material Suppliers will be required to provide a dual obligee material supply bond listing MCL and The City of Gretna as obligees. No bidder shall withdraw his bid within 30 business days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Proposers will be evaluated after the interviews & qualifications based on the lowest responsible bidder. Which shall mean: completeness of the Hard Bid proposal, knowledge of the project, financial responsibility, the general ability and capacity of the bidder to perform the work, the bidder's facilities and suitability for the task, and those qualities which the bidder must necessarily have in order to perform the contract strictly in accordance with its terms. Time is of the essence for this project and bids will not be considered if the contractor cannot meet the construction schedule as provided.
