Scope of Work: Scope includes, but is not limited to, the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, services and incidentals to reconstruct underground pits at the Copans Road Maintenance and Operations Facility, including the installation of two new 3-scissor version ECO 90 bus lifts as manufactured by Stertil Koni, or approved equal, including one contact adapter cart with wheels per lift, for articulated buses in the existing bus maintenance facility building at bays No.'s 23 & 25. New concrete slabs, pit walls, and foundations will be required to replace the existing in the area of work. Removal of existing pit equipment and installation of new concrete support walls, fill, vapor barriers, and structural concrete slabs at adjacent inspection pits. Federal Transit Administration Requirements: The successful Vendor is required to complete applicable forms found in Federal Transit Administration (FTA) United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) Funding Supplement Requirements and Certification. FTA Buy America Certification: A bidder or offeror must submit to COUNTY the appropriate Buy America Certification Iron, Steel, Non-Rolling Stock form (Exhibit 6A), with all bids or proposal on FTA-funded Contracts, except those subject to a general waiver. Bids or offers that are not accompanied by a completed Buy America Certification Iron, Steel, Non-Rolling Stock Form will be rejected as non-responsive. Workforce Investment Program: This contract is not subject to the Broward County Workforce Investment Program. County/State License Requirements: In order to be considered a responsive and responsible Vendor for the scope of work set forth in this solicitation, the Vendor must possess a specified license at the time of submittal (Refer to Special Instructions for requirements). Bid Guaranty: Each submittal shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount (Refer to Bid Guaranty, Performance and Payment Guaranties, and Qualifications of Surety Requirements). Bid Allowance Amounts: This solicitation includes pass-thru allowances. It is not necessary to add your allowance amounts into your bid prices. Basis for Award - Total Bid Award: It is the intent of the County to award this contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder by total bid price. A bidder must bid on all items to be considered for award; otherwise, the group will be construed as incomplete and may be rejected. Request for Approved Equals: Vendors may submit for Broward County's consideration, a request to approve an equal product for a product/specification of this solicitation.
