New Construction August 14, 2024 2:00 PM Deadline for written questions Project Background: This project includes a 63,000 SF Commercial Truck Driving Training pad that will be a DDS-approved testing site, 48 parking stalls, and a 8,318 SF classroom and shop facility. The building is constructed as a preengineered metal building system and contains (2) classrooms separated with an operable wall, a shop space with CMU construction to house (2) 4 post lifts and a mezzanine area, office spaces, a small conference room, a covered porch observation area, and assorted supporting spaces. This facility will support Atlanta Technical College's Commercial Truck Driving and Diesel Mechanic Training program. The location of this project is at Cochran Road and Cascade Palmetto Highway ( GA Hwy No. 70) South Fulton, GA 30213. Project Delivery Method The delivery method for this Project will be Design-Bid-Build. The owner has employed the services of a Design Professional and a Commissioning Agent. Project Budget The estimated project cost is in the range of $4,000,000. Project Schedule The construction documents are complete and available for distribution to eligible firms in September 2024. Once the construction documents have been issued, contractors will be given a 30-day period to submit a bid. It is anticipated that construction will begin by November 2024. The Owner is targeting the construction duration to reach material completion at approximately 10 to 12 months from the issuance of the proceed .
