SISD/Saginet (Owner) invites qualified fiber optical cable construction/installation system firms to submit proposals for the above referenced project. The RFP specifies the requirements to supply and install Aerial and Underground Fiber Optical Cable to hub site(s) for SISD/Saginet. The RFP will be available from the SISD/Saginet Technology Planner, Childs Consulting Associates, Inc. (CCA). The RFP contains the specific requirements for all responses. Among the requirements in the RFP are an RFP compliance form, specific required unit pricing, a unit priced base cost summary form, an installation time schedule for the work specified, and a Statement of business or familial relationships or other potential conflicts of interest. The SISD/SAGINET reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals, to waive any informality in the best interest of the SISD/Saginet and to select the firm it deems most suitable for its needs. Each non-governmental respondent shall submit with his/her proposal either a response bond or a certified check equal to five percent (5%) of the defined unit price base RFP amount payable to SISD (Owner). The Owner may require (before awarding the work) successful respondent(s) to obtain Performance and Payment Bond (PLM) for any project exceeding $25,000. The Performance and Payment Bond shall be solely for the protection of the Owner. A surety company authorized to do business in the State of Michigan shall execute the Performance, Labor and Payment Bond (PLM). Responses must be clearly marked SISD/Saginet Fiber Optical Network Replacement. Submit one (1) original and three (3) hard copies, and one Excel spreadsheet cost analysis form with one PDF electronic copy of the entire response on an SD card or flash drive in your sealed response, prepared following the directions of the RFP, and your response bond / certified check payable to SISD.
