***As of February 7, 2022, the project has been awarded but award amount was not confirmed.*** The Village of Ruidoso is soliciting separate sealed competitive bids tor the construction of improvements to include: > TO Grindstone Canyon Dam seepage gallery floor grading by removal of mineral deposits and removal of PVC pipe laying on the gallery floor, cleaning of approximately 72 vertical and horizontal dam foundation and abutment relief drains using a hiqh-pressure water jetting system, cleaning of approximately 36 vertical dam ceiling relief drains using a high-pressure water jetting system, drain hole reaming to the extent that the Contractor is not able to penetrate beyond drain blockages by water jet blasting, video inspection of gallery drains prior to and after cleaning the drains, and removable weir fabrication and installation near the entrance to the access portal to measure the amount of water flow from the drains in the gallery. The dam is a 133-foothigh roller compacted concrete gravity structure that was constructed in 1987. The CONTRACTOR shall have at least 5- years of experience cleaning pressure relief drains at concrete dams. The CONTRACTOR shall provide all equipment for completing the work including, but not limited to, the following: a. Video equipment and accessories for inspection of the drain pipes. b. Water jetting equipment and accessories. c. Reaminq equipment and accessories. d. Water flow measuring devices and accessories. e. Pressure gauges with suitable packers. f. Alternative water pressure measuring and monitoring devices. q. Other data gathering equipment as required, n. Suitable depth measuring devices. Representatives of Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the Project. Bidders are encouraged to attend and participate. Engineer will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record such Addenda as Engineer considers necessary in response to questions arising at the conference.
