Remodeling and renovation of an educational facility in Richardson, Texas. Completed plans call for the expansion of a post-secondary education facility.
Boiler #2 is a 50-year-old, 60,000 lb. duel fuel boiler that has reached its useful operational life. This project entails replacing Boiler #2 with a new 60,000 lb. water tube boiler, stack, and economizer, which is a critical component for providing steam to the UTD campus. The goal is to install the equipment in summer of 2022. Additional details may be found in the construction documents attached to this solicitation. This is a "Building Construction" project. The HUB subcontracting goal is 21.1% This section contains general requirements for the installation of the Boiler Control System (BCS). It is the intent of this specification for the BCS to be installed as a complete package by the Controls Contractor. The Controls Contractor shall certify all work as proper and complete in full accordance with boiler manufacture requirements. All BCS system computer software, hardware, controllers, sensors, transmission equipment, local panels, shall be provided by boiler manufacture for field installation by a qualified controls contractor. Boiler Manufacture shall provide engineering, field installation supervision, commissioning, acceptance testing, training, and warranty service for the complete BCS system. This pre-bid meeting will cover both this project and UTD20211013-CHILLER - Callier Dallas Chiller Replacement Project.
