Actual award amount: $68,718.75 The purpose of this project is to improve ADA access to and within the park. The project proposes the installation of ADA access improvements including: a new ADA van accessible parking space, with an accessible pedestrian and wheelchair route, new sidewalks around the existing building, and a new rubber surface ADA access to the existing inclusive swing and bench seating area. Pavement, sidewalk, curbing removal including saw-cutting, as required. Sheeting, bracing, and support of adjoining ground and existing utilities where necessary. Handling drainage and groundwater removal if encountered. Unloading, loading, hauling, distributing, laying, storage, security and testing materials and appurtenances. Provide and install new concrete sidewalks, concrete curbing, pavement, line striping, and signage as shown on the plan. Provide and install 3" ADA compliant mulch across entire play area. Provide and install Rubber Mats under fall zone area of swings. 5 Total. Restoration of existing features including paved surfaces, roads, concrete or asphalt curbs, sidewalks, lawns, mulch, etc. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check, in favor of Lackawanna County, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%). The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, goals for minority and female participation, MBE and WBE participation, participation by Section 3 residents and businesses, and related matters.
