The Project consists of a new 3,825 L.F. 8" interceptor sewer roughly a third of which is to be installed by directional drilling and much of the remaining two thirds installed above ground supported by timber piers. The Project also entails the installation of 2,400 L.F. of 6" water main under an existing sidewalk and a small wastewater grinder pumping station with 850 L.F. of 1.5" force main. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Additional sets for non-Bidders, Bidders who obtain more than one set of Bidding Documents, subcontractors, vendors, or dealers will be refunded as stated above less the cost of printing, reproduction, handling, and distribution. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above plus a shipping charge, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. All contracts are subject to Federal and State contract provisions prescribed by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. This is a Section 3 contract opportunity. The work to be performed under this contract is under a program providing direct Federal financial assistance from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 as amended, 12 U.S.C. 1701 U.
