The County of Yuba is soliciting bids for a project consisting of rehabilitation of an existing building and construction of a new building for the County's Public Works maintenance crews, in conformance to the plans and specifications attached to this solicitation. The existing building will provide storage space, as well as space for the sign shop. The new building will provide storage space, office space for crew members, space for repair and maintenance of Public Works vehicles (and possibly fleet vehicles used by other departments). Technology cabling will connect both buildings to the County's servers. The County estimates that building 1 will be approximately 10,840 gross square feet and building 2 will be approximately 11,832 gross square feet. Included with construction is the installation of a wash rack that has been previously purchased by the County, requiring coordination between the winning bidder and the wash rack manufacturer. Construction of new building and site improvements 4. Installation of new equipment and finishes. CONTRACTOR agrees to furnish all tools, equipment, apparatus, facilities, labor and materials necessary to perform and complete in a good and workmanlike manner, and in strict accordance with the Contract Documents as defined in Section 7 hereof, the project consists of: "construction of a new pre-engineered metal building to house the new Yuba County Maintenance Facility identified in the plans as Building 2; the project includes interior upgrades to the existing pre-engineered metal building identified in the plans as Building 1; the project includes installation of special equipment inside and outside the buildings; additional scope of work includes interior improvements of an existing building on the side; the work included shall consist of construction and services involving work related to site preparation, site utilities including connection, trenching and backfill, construction of new building and site improvements, installation of new equipment and finishes", as called for in the Drawings and Specifications adopted by COUNTY.
