Two 1.25 MW Mobile Diesel Engine Generator Systems (MDEGS), each installed within an ISO Freight Container. Each MDEGS contains the following: a. MDEGS Enclosure: 1) ISO Freight Container. b. 4160 Vac Diesel Engine Generator: 1) Control System and Alarms. 2) Instrumentation. c. Internal Fuel System: 1) Internal fuel tank. 2) Piping. 3) Fuel Pumps. 4) Instrumentation and Leak Detection System. 5) Control System. 6) Valves, Strainers, Vents, Sumps, and Transitions. d. Tier 4 Exhaust System, Cooling System, and Lubrication System. e. Batteries, Battery Rack, and Battery Charger. f. 5kV Metal-Clad Generator Switchgear. g. Cable Tray. h. Accessories and Appurtenances. 2. The MDEGS external equipment which is provided separately and includes: a. 5kV Metal-Clad Distribution Switchgear. b. 4160V, 500kW Load Bank. c. External Storage Fuel Tank. 3. Generator Accessories include the following: a. Storage Boxes for medium voltage insulated cables. b. Cable Protectors for medium voltage insulated cables. 4. Tools, Special Tools and Spare Parts. 5. Wire and Cable: a. Grounding Cables. b. Medium Voltage Insulated Cables. 6. Liaison Services. 7. Services of an Erecting Representative. 8. Training Program. C. The MDEGS testing includes the following: 1. Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). 2. Site Acceptance Testing (SAT). Questions or requests for clarification of the drawings or specifications shall be made in writing no later than 10 days before the scheduled opening of bids. Response, if warranted, will be sent to all prospective bidders on the DWR Planholder's List. A Bid Form booklet will be furnished only to prequalified bidders who meet the requirements of the State Contract Act and Document 00040 - Prequalification. Bid forms for this work are included in a separate booklet titled BID FORM, available only from the Department. Bids will be considered only if submitted for all the work required for the above project. Contractor's license classification required for this work: N/A . All bidders must submit both the "Contractor's Statement of Experience and Financial Condition" together with "Special Prequalification Statement of Experience" on forms provided by the Department. To qualify, these must be completed and approved before bid documents can be issued to the Contractor. The Budget Estimated Cost Range for this project is $3,200,000 to $3,500,000.
