The Selected Bidders work on this project will involve the procurement, remediation, construction, startup and testing activities associated with the Boiler Replacement and New CHP Installation at Memorial High School located at 2001 Lanes Mill Rd, Brick Township, NJ 08724. Brick Memorial High School Substantial Completion 8/23/2022 Final Completion 9/14/2022 Equipment furnished and installed as part of the scope of this work shall operate utilizing existing DDC boiler room plant controllers (upgraded as required), equipment vendor supplied control panels and sensors, field installed controllers, sensors and devices as noted on the contract drawings. The basis of design equipment is specified with integral controllers with communication cards and required sensors as part of the MEP Contractors Scope of Work. The MEP Contractor shall mount, wire and coordinate programming and start-up for the specified controls and their ancillary devices.The DDC Controls Contractor shall provide all scope indicated on the drawings and within this specification denoted as within their scope of work. The DDC Controls Contractor's work included within this specification is for reference by the MEP Contractor and vice versa. The work in the MEP Contractor's Scope of Work does not include any upgrades, extensions or addition to the existing DDCS systems within the Hillside Public School District's school buildings. Design Intent: It is the intent that the MEP Contractor furnish and install the on-board boiler control panel with BACnet gateway, daisy-chain wiring between boilers, outside air temperature sensor, header temperature sensors supplied with boiler and any interlock wiring for secondary boiler pumps (if required) or ventilation/exhaust interlocks for boiler room ventilation. Boiler Plant Control: a. Boiler plant shall be enabled by the boiler control panel based on an adjustable outdoor air temperature set-point of 50 deg F or via manual enable via the DDCS. b. The boiler manufacturer's controls shall adjust boiler output automatically to maintain the leaving hot water supply temperature at set-point. Hot water supply temperature set-point may be adjusted remotely from DDCS.
