Renovation of an educational facility in College Station, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

As of March 22, 2022, the owner has selected a Construction Manager. The project is expected to start construction in June 2022. The CMAR for the Bright Area Development Project is Manhattan Construction Co. Inc. The CMAR for the Bright Area Development Project – New Indoor Track Project is Austin Commercial, L.P. Anticipated completion dates: Indoor Football, Bright Building Renovation, Outdoor Football and Kyle Field Suites Finishes July 2023 Academic Building Finishes July 2024 Indoor Track finishes December 2023 The Texas A&M University System Office of Facilities Planning & Construction (FP&C) on behalf of the Board of Regents of The Texas A&M University System (Owner) and Texas A&M University, is accepting proposals for the selection process to enter into a contract with a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) firm to provide preconstruction services such as constructability guidance, cost estimates, and construction schedules; provide a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP); and perform complete construction services consistent with the CMAR construction delivery process as utilized by The Texas A&M University System for the proposed Bright Building Area Development project (#02-3343) located in College Station, Texas. Note, this project is pending Board of Regents approval for addition to The Texas A&M University System Capital Plan The work is anticipated to be implemented in three sub-projects, each in multiple phases, and the successful CMAR(s) must be capable of performing phases in the construction windows per phase to be determined at a later date. The CMAR may choose to bid on one, two or all three sub-projects. The A&M System reserves the right to award this RFP to one or more CMAR firms for the three sub-projects. The entire scope of the project will include: demolition of the Indoor Track facility, the Indoor Football Practice facility, and KAMU TV Building, remodeling of the first and second floors of the Bright Building, revisions to the Kyle Field TV truck parking and broadcast area, renovations for premium products at Kyle Field, a new Student Athlete Academic Center with a relocated Slocum Nutrition Center, a new Indoor Football facility, a new Indoor Track Facility, new outdoor football practice fields, a new ceremonial entry drive and link to Aggie Park, new parking lots and new suites at Kyle Field. Currently, the anticipated Planning Amount for Sub-Project One is estimated to be approximately $125,000,000.00, Sub-Project Two is estimated to be approximately $25,000,000, and Sub-Project Three is estimated to be approximately $55,000,000.00. The Planning Amount includes an Amount Available for Construction listed above plus fees, furnishings, other work, miscellaneous expenses, and contingencies make up the balance of the Planning Amount.
