Membrane Overlay at the Fabric Structures at Middletown High School North and Middletown High School South Neither the Owner, nor the Architect will assume any responsibility for Bids mailed or misdirected in delivery. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days from the opening of the bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informality in the bidding process in accordance with the law, if it is in the best interest of the Owner. The Contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements. No bid shall be deemed accepted until the adoption of a formal resolution by the Owner. All bidders must use and complete all bid forms provided in the manner designated, and must comply with every requirement contained in the instructions and specifications. Bids shall be marked in a sealed envelope with the name of the project plainly marked on the front of the envelope and accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond in the amount of Ten Percent 10% of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000. N.J. DOE Project Number: 25-3160-053-20-1000 (High School North) 25-3160-053-21-2000 (High School South) The Bidder shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction in the following trade C008 General Construction or C009 General Construction/Alterations and Additions Subcontractors named in the Form of Bid Proposal for Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning, and/or Electric, who perform any work on the Project must be prequalified prior to the submission of bids, pursuant to the State of New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction DPMC. Bidders are required to comply with requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-1 et seq., The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and generally consists of but not limited to the following: 1. Furnish and installation of overlay refurbishment membrane roof panels and gable end wall panels including all associated tension hardware and structural components on existing frame supported fabric structures, including entrance vestibules, applied school logo at each school, and associated mechanical and architectural work for a complete installation. The existing ground-mounted mechanical systems are in place which require temporarily disconnection of duct penetrations thru fabric and reconnection of ductwork under this contract. Protect existing mechanical system from damage during project. Removal of the existing chain link fence only around the existing fabric structures for the installation of the specified overlay membrane system. The Work shall be conducted in the following phases, with each phase commencing and substantially complete on the dates as indicated: 1. Phase 1: Installation of overlay refurbishment membrane and associated work at Middletown High School South (HSS) - Work of this phase shall commence on within 10 days after the written Notice to Proceed with installation work commencing May 27, 2022 and be substantially complete and ready for occupancy on July 1, 2022. 2. Phase 2: Installation of overlay refurbishment membrane and associated work at Middletown High School North (HSN) - Work of this phase shall commence on within 10 days after the written Notice to Proceed with installation work commencing June 22, 2022 and be substantially complete and ready for occupancy on July 30, 2022. 3. The remaining Work shall be substantially complete with a Certificate of Occupancy at time of Substantial Completion.
