University of North Georgia is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for John Hosch Library Roof Replacement located at University of North Georgia's Gainesville Campus in Oakwood, Georgia. This project will consist of all labor and materials necessary to complete the quality roof replacement. See Summary of Work attached for specifications. A mandatory site meeting will be required for this project. Description of the Work A. Work under this Contract consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to perform the quality remedial roof replacement of the John Hosch Library on the University of North Georgia Campus. The work will include, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: 1. Remove the existing roof systems down to the existing flat structural concrete decks. (a) Remove any loose or damaged secondary membrane against the flat structural deck. 2. Provide temporary drainage as required to maintain current drainage characteristics on all roof areas. 3. Remove all existing flashings, metal flashings, and additional miscellaneous items. 4. Remove existing roof drain strainers and clamping rings, and discard. 5. Remove existing overflow scupper liners, and discard. 6. Remove any abandoned openings in the roof system and patch openings in the deck. 7. Remove any one-way vents, and discard. 8. Remove abandoned antennas from the roof, and discard. 9. Coordinate movement of the existing communications equipment as required by management. 10. Prepare the existing roof decks as required by the manufacturer. 11. Furnish and install separator board at vertical transitions and curbs. 12. Furnish and install new membrane-clad retrofit roof drains at all existing roof drain locations. 13. Furnish and install new self-adhered secondary membrane against the roof deck. 14. Furnish and install new fully adhered tapered insulation system and coverboard. 15. Furnish and install new 80-mil TPO system with 30-year warranty. (a) (ALTERNATE 1) Furnish and install new 60-mil TPO system with 20-year warranty. (b) (ALTERNATE 2) Furnish and install new 60-mil PVC system with 20-year warranty. 16. Furnish and install new through-wall scupper liners. 17. Furnish and install new coping and edge metal. 18. Furnish and install new premanufactured pipe boots and flashings. 19. Furnish and install new walkway protection pads. 20. Furnish and install any additional items as required for specified system and warranty PROJECT NO. (ACRONYM) Upon issuance of a Proceed Order, bidder agrees to commence physical activities on the Site with adequate forces and equipment and to complete to Material Completion all work in Forty-Five (45) consecutive calendar days beginning the day after the date of the Proceed Order
