The City of Arcata is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced firms to provide equipment and services necessary to implement a Project 25 Very High Frequency Phase I Mixed Mode Simulcast Radio System, a Microwave Backhaul Subsystem, and a Subscriber Radio Network ("Radio System Package") in Arcata, California. Services related to the provision of the Radio System Package include, without limitation, designing, developing, installing and maintaining the City's radio system. Detailed Scope of Services is provided Proposed scope of services is appropriate for all phases of the work. Scope addresses all known project needs and appears achievable in the timeframes set forth in the project schedule. Project Deliverables Deliverables are appropriate to schedule and scope set forth in the RFP. Includes assessment of existing radio coverage, including propagation maps. Includes assessment of radio coverage with proposed improvements and equipment, including propagation maps. Includes assessment of existing radio equipment and recommendations for replacement equipment which shall include transmit and receive sites, licensed microwave link, antennae and tower equipment and mobile and portable subscriber radios. Includes project management including licensing support. Includes list of all inventory. Includes system verification and testing to ensure minimum standards outlined have been met. Includes support and maintenance of equipment for 10 years Deadline to Submit Questions 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2021 The award for this contract is anticipated to be made at the Arcata City Council's meeting on or after January 5, 2022. Any proposal may withdrawn at any time prior to the date and time fixed for the opening of the proposals by submitting a written request to the Arcata City manager. The request shall be signed by an individual authorized to bind the Consultant. Until award of the contract, the proposals shall be held in confidence and shall not be available for public review. Upon award of a contract to the successful respondent, all proposals shall be public records. No proposal shall be returned after the date and time set for opening thereof. All proposals, shall become the property of the City of Arcata.
