The storm windows will serve to protect the 19 stained glass windows, located on the first and second floors of the oldest section of the library, dating from 1907. The work will include, but is not limited to, the preparation of openings and rectification of the masonry if required, cleaning of stained glass and temporary weather protection, installation of wood/plywood sills if required, exterior caulking and installation of the new aluminum storm window. The tenderer must accompany his tender with a guarantee equivalent to TEN PER CENT (10%) of the total price proposed in his tender. Security must be submitted in the form of a bond, certified cheque, money order or bank draft, made payable to the College. This bid security will be exchanged at the signing of the contract for a performance security (Contract, section 4.02). The contract is awarded to the tenderer who offered the lowest price. The Owner does not undertake to accept any of the tenders received. Performance and Material Bond 50% is required. Start date : 14 Feb 2022 End date : 28 Oct 2022 award is subject to final approval.
