From qualified drilling firms to provide the following services: (1) advance Membrane Interface Probe and Hydraulic Profiling Tool (MiHpt) direct push soil borings, (2) advance direct push soil borings for soil logging and confirmation sampling, (3) install temporary monitoring wells or use a screen-point sampling device (SP-16) for the collection of groundwater samples, (4) advance soil borings for the collection of Shelby tube samples, and (5) install and develop water wells. Responding firms can respond to one or more of the drilling needs. This work will be conducted in Salina, Kansas. This scope of work is part of a large environmental investigation that is being conducted at the Former Schilling Air Force Base (SAFB) in Salina, Kansas. The City represents the four Public Entities involved in this work: the City of Salina, the Salina Airport Authority, Kansas State University, and USD 305. Dragun Corporation (Dragun) is the environmental consultant for the four Public Entities. This work is expected to be completed within four months. The RFP does not commit the City to award a contract, to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of a proposal, or to procure or contract for the articles of goods and services. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Proposals received as a result of this RFP, to contract with multiple firms, to waive informalities, to negotiate with the selected Proposer, or to cancel in part or its entirety this RFP, if it is in the vested interest of the City to do so. City enters contract with successful Proposer on December 6, 2021. Work commencing mid-December, 2021.
