Mission Memorial Hospital (MMH) currently does not have a CT scanner on their campus. MMH inpatients and ER patients are transferred to Abbotsford Regional Hospital (ARH), adding more pressure to an already congested ARH site. This Project is to expand and renovate the MI department to create a CT scanning room at the north end of the MI department. In order to place the CT in this location a reconfiguration of the existing MI department and surrounding departments (Health Records and Physician Lounge) is required. To best meet department operational needs, this project is expected to be executed in three consecutive phases. Phase 1: Renovation to communication room and vacant OR space for health records, physician Lounge and staff room Phase 2: Expansion of medical imaging into vacated Health Records and Physician Lounge spaces Phase 3: Renovation of the vacated x-ray room and ultrasound room for the CT suite, as well as renovation to the existing waiting area and remaining support spaces. On completion of the project, the Mission Memorial Hospital will: Expand Medical Imaging by ~216 SQ. M (2,325 SQ. FT.) Provide CT services to Mission, Have internal MI department space improvements to better support service delivery, and Have improved space for Health Records, the Physician Resource Centre, and Emergency Department Staff Space.
