This project includes, but is not limited to providing all labor, materials, supervision, etc. to complete the installation of various storm drainage improvements on Dry Hill Road, Friendly Road, Daphne Drive, and Saddle Road; the replacement of drainage outfalls on Dry Hill Road and Friendly Road; sewer improvements on Dry Hill Road, Friendly Road, Daphne Drive and Saddle Road; water improvements on Dry Hill Road, Friendly Road, Daphne Drive, and Saddle Road. All electronic submissions must be submitted in Bonfire no later than Monday, November 29th, 2021, at 2:00 PM Questions Due Date Deadline to submit Questions Nov 9th 2021, 2:00 PM EST The Contractor shall be responsible for checking the City of Norwalk's website for any addenda issued one week prior to the date of the bid opening. The deadline for receipt of all questions pertaining to this bid is 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 9", 2021. All questions pertaining to this bid shall be directed to Sharon Conners, Purchasing Agent, at Sconners@norwalket.org. IMPORTANT: As of 05/20/2021, the Norwalk City Hall is reopened fully to the public with no appointment required. Masks and physical distancing will be required for employees and visitors at City Hali. Submission Information: As of 08/10/2020, a new interior Customer Service window opened inside City Hall that will help serve the public during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The window is staffed by Customer Service representatives Monday -- Friday from 9 a.m. -- 3:00 p.m. Members of the public can walk-in, and they must wear a mask/face covering. If you are planning to use the Customer Service window to drop off your submission, it is recommended to drop off the submission as early as possible since the team will be serving other customers. It is still recommended to use a courier service (i.e., FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL, etc.) to deliver the submission to the above address by the due date and time. There will be one notice to proceed issued for this project. The number of calendar days allowed for the completion of the work on this project is dependent on the basis of Award (See Schedule above). For each calendar day that any work remains uncompleted after the date specified for the completion of the work provided in the Contract, the amount of TWELVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($1200.00) per calendar day will be deducted from any money due the Contractor, not as a penalty but as liquidated damages; provided, however, that due account shall be taken of any adjustment of the contract time for completion of the work as provided elsewhere in the specifications. Within ten (10) calendar days from the date of a notice of acceptance of this proposal, the undersigned agrees to execute the Contract and to furnish to the City a satisfactory "Faithful Performance Bond" and Labor and Material Bond" in the amount of 100% of the contract price The decision of the Department to accept the bid of the lowest responsible bidder for the Work, subject to the execution and approval of a satisfactory Contract therefor; the provisions of proper bonds to secure the performance thereof, and full payment to all suppliers of labor and materials therefor.
