Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Millsboro, Delaware. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Work generally consists of all labor, materials, tools, equipment and services required for construction of approximately 8,300 LF of 24”, 11,350 LF of 20”, 11,850 LF of 18”, 6,250 LF of 12” and 1,150 LF of 8” loop conduit piping; 75 LF of steel casing pipe installation by Bore & Jack; 630 LF of directionally drilled 24” loop conduit pipe; 78,000 LF of 2” conduit; 13 precast concrete vaults; various water valves, fittings, blowoffs and appurtenances; traffic control, alignment grubbing and mulching, pavement restoration and other work as necessary to complete the project. Contract Term: 365 Consecutive Calendar Days All contractor questions must be submitted in writing to the County Engineer at hans.medlarz@sussexcountyde.gov no later than five (5) business days prior to the bid opening Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee equivalent to ten (10) percent of the amount of the base bid and all alternates. The bid guarantee may be a certified check, or a bid bond secured by a surety authorized to do business in Delaware. The bid guarantee shall be made payable to Sussex County Council. Neither Federal scale wage rates per the Davis-Bacon Act nor Delaware State prevailing wage rates are applicable on this Project. The project will be completed utilizing American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding, thus bidders on this work will be required to comply with all associated ARPA regulations. Sussex County reserves the right to extend the time and place of the bid opening on not less than two (2) calendar days’ notice by electronic means to those who have obtained copies of the Contract Documents. The County also reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the bids received and to reject any or all bids.
