Site work and paving for a civil project in Elroy, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The work for which bids are asked includes the following: Approximately 500 lineal feet of sanitary sewer main, sanitary laterals and cleanouts, 700 lineal feet of water main, hydrants, valves, water services, 300 lineal feet of storm sewer and pipe underdrain, dense graded base, and minor asphalt paving on mainline roadways. Initial work must occur by December 31, 2021. The anticipated substantial completion date is April 1, 2022 for all work outside of connecting roadways and May 1, 2022 for all work completed on adjacent roadways. Final completion date is anticipated to be May 15, 2022. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the OWNER as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. BIDDER is required to deliver the original certified check or bid bond within the 72 hours of bid opening to MSA Professional Services, Inc., Attn: Brian Kehrli, 1230 South Boulevard, Baraboo, WI 53913. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages. No bid may be withdrawn within 45 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. This project anticipates the use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funding. Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246. The OWNER intends to work with a construction manager on the project. Work and contracts will be coordinated with the construction manager throughout the project along with other work that will occur concurrently on or immediately adjacent to this project area. OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
