Deposit is fully refundable for the first set of documents to all bona fide prime* bidders upon return of the documents in good condition no later than ten (10) days after receipt of bids. The deposit of all other set of documents will be refunded fifty percent (50%) upon return of documents as stated above.
Prime bidders are defined as licensed General Contractor bidding this job as such.
Preference is given to materials, supplies, and provisions that are produced manufactured, or grown in Louisiana, quality being equal to articles offered by competitors outside the State.
Best Rating of A- or better, all in accordance with LS R.S. 38:2219. The bond shall be countersigned by a person who is under contract with the surety company or bond issuer as an insurance agent in this State, and who is residing in this State.
Bids shall be accepted only from contractors who are licensed under LS R.S. 37:2150-2163 for the classification of Building Construction. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LS R.S. 38:2214.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with LS R.S. 38:2212(B)(1), the provisions and requirements of this Section, and those stated in the Bidding Documents shall not be waived by any entity. Awarding or rejecting bids shall be in accordance with LA Public Bid Law Statues.
The public shall incur no obligation to the Contractor until the Contract between Recreation District One, Ward Four and the Contractor is fully executed.
Official action on this bid will be taken within forty-five (45) days by the Recreation District One, Ward.
