The Sumner-Tapps Highway E Guardrail Improvements project will remove existing guardrail, install new guardrail, remove trees and brush, and perform some minor grading. The project limits are between 64th Street East and 162nd Avenue East. engineer's estimate: $300,000.00 - $400,000.00 Pursuant to RCW 35.23.352, all bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee (certified or cashier's check or approved surety bond) payable to the City of Sumner in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the total contract price. Should the lowest responsible bidder fail to enter into a contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid guarantee shall be forfeited to the City of Sumner. The City of Sumner reserves the right to waive informalities in the bidding, accept a Proposal of the lowest responsible Bidder, reject any or all Bids, republish the Call for Bids, revise or cancel the work, or require the work to be done in another way if the best interest of the City is served.
