Site work for a water / sewer project in Mesa, Arizona. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

SECTION I - PROJECT DESCRIPTION Water Campus 1 at Superstition Vistas - As part of the Superstition Vistas development, a new booster pump station and storage facility will be constructed along the west side of Ironwood Road immediately north of the Powerline Floodway Channel. This facility will receive treated water from the existing Superstition Area Water Plant through a new water transmission main, and will distribute water for domestic use and fire protection throughout the development. The first phase of development will include a 3.2 million gallon cast in place buried concrete storage tank (rectangular) and a booster pump station sized for the first phase of development, approximately 3,500 GPM firm capacity. The first phase will also include an electrical building, sodium hypochlorite disinfection, a hydro-pneumatic tank, storage tank circulation pumps, and all piping and flow control relating to these components. Other improvements include gate(s) and masonry walls around the perimeter of the site, sewer service line, retention and stormwater facilities for site improvements, asphalt pavement for access, parking and circulation, dry utility and required site lighting. Future phases are anticipated to include a second tank, additional pumping, a groundwater well, and groundwater treatment. Ironwood Road Water Transmission Main - A 30-inch ductile iron offsite water transmission main will be constructed to transfer treated water from the existing Superstition Area Water Plant located north of the CAP canal along Ironwood Road approximately two miles to the proposed Superstition Vistas Water Campus. The project includes approximately 11,100 LF of 30" transmission main including 30" isolation valves with bypass, a crossing across the CAP facility south of the existing plant using the Old Ironwood Road bridge, and another crossing with an existing 54" City of Mesa raw water transmission main located at Elliot. Ironwood Road Water Distribution Main - A 24-inch ductile iron offsite water distribution main will be constructed along Ironwood Road to transfer treated water from the proposed Superstition Vistas Water Campus to the south to the intersection of Solina Avenue and Ironwood Road for distribution. The project includes approximately 5,600 LF of 24" transmission main including 24" gate valves with bypass, stubs for future connection, and approximately 110 LF of casing for the crossing of an existing floodway easement.
