General Scope of this work includes but is not limited to: retrofit the Civic Center roof, approximately 38,776 sq ft, with a new 30-year, high performance SBS modified roof system set in modified hot asphalt with coating finish as specified in bid document. Contractors must be properly licensed of the North Carolina General Statutes. The purpose of this conference is to explain the scope of work involved for this project and to give prospective bidders the opportunity to observe the existing conditions for the work. A sign-in sheet will serve as the attendance record. Eva Mendez Kenny Roberts Bidder is responsible for timely delivery of their bid. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all proposals. DBE goal for participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises is established for this contract if contract price exceeds $300,000. The City of Statesville has adopted "Guidelines for Recruitment and Selection of Minority Businesses for Participation in the City of Statesville Building Construction Contracts". The minority participation goal is 10% by historically underutilized businesses (HUB) in construction projects as defined in G.S. 143-128. Equal access and opportunity to participate in all aspects of construction project shall be provided to HUB.
