The Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County ("Authority") requests interested parties to submit Construction Bids for the purpose of selecting qualified and licensed firms to provide services for the Replacement of High Voltage 5KV Cable and Equipment, BID NO. 22-402/PA Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of a surety company Bid Bond or cashier's check, drawn upon any State or National Bank in Florida, payable to the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County in an amount not less than five Percent (5%) of the amount of the total Bid. Any Bid received and accompanied by a Bid Security for less than five Percent (5%) of the amount of Bid Price or without a Bid Security will be rejected and returned. The Bid Bond executed by the BIDDERS shall be issued by a Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Florida and meeting the provisions required by Florida Statute 287.0935. There is a SBE Goal of 13% of the estimated dollar value for this Bid. The AUTHORITY only accepts Solicitation responses online through our official e-Bid/RFx platform. The project involves the removal of existing high voltage 5kV underground feeder cables F-4, F-5 and F-6, and the cleaning of existing conduit prior to the installation of new cable. The awarded contractor will furnish and install new 15kV cable, new pad-mounted switches and transformer cabinets, and new conduit as shown on the drawings as part of the Invitation to Bid. The awarded contractor is also expected to provide temporary generators and fuel per the specifications of this solicitation and to perform Switch Gear modifications for generator run time clock.
