Renovation of a municipal facility in Wheeling, Illinois. Design plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
A professional roof consultant/inspector is retained by Public Works to perform biennial assessments of the Village's roof system. Using a systematic and objective method, roof consultants/inspectors document various distress types including severity and quantity. This information is then used to determine repair, and replacement needs as well as priorities to ensure efficient allocation of resources. This project funds the replacement of existing roof sections that have exceeded their estimated useful lives and are incurring excessively high maintenance and repair costs This project is included in the Village of Wheeling FY 2024-2028's CIP. As of January 10, 2025, per owner, they anticipate construction will start in April 2025 and be completed by end of July 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
