Notice is hereby given that sealed Bids will be received by the Mahwah Board of Education for the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment and other facilities necessary for, or incidental to Contract #6 - HVAC Upgrades of the 300 Wing at Joyce Kilmer Elementary School The Project will be awarded as a single overall contract in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-18. Last Day for Contractor Questions: Tuesday, November 16, 2021, 5:00 PM Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-26, in order to submit a Bid for the Project, Bidders, and/or a Bidders' subcontractor, if applicable, shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction in C032 (HVACR). In addition, the bidder, or bidder's subcontractors, must comply with the identification and classification requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:18A18, to the extent the services of a prime trade-classified contractor or subcontractor are required on the project, per the specifications. Bidders on this project must also identify and include subcontractors classified in (i) C008 (General Construction) or C009 (General Construction - Alterations and Additions), (ii) C030 (Plumbing); and (iii) C047 (Electrical) if Bidder is not classified to perform such work. In addition, Bidders must identify a controls subcontractor, classified by the DPMC under classification C032 (HVACR), C043 (Controls Systems), (CO47) (Electrical) and C098 (Energy Management Systems) with a prequalification rating of no less than $20,000,000 in aggregate, if bidder does not meet said requirement. The Mahwah Board of Education reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all bids or any part thereof in accordance with law, to waive any non-material informality in the bids, and to award the bid to a responsible and responsive bidder. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days from the date set for the opening of the bids, as set forth above. *Note: All new HVAC Equipment shall be installed and operational prior to the start of the 2022-2023 School Year on September 8, 2022. Any work required to be performed at the school while school is in session (before June 24, 2022, or after September 8, 2022), must be performed after school hours or on the weekends. Construction activities shall commence on or about June 24, 2022, during summer recess during the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Coordinate with the owner if work activities must extend beyond 5:00 p.m.
