Renovation of a municipal facility in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 7,317-square-foot municipal facility.
This project will have four separate prime contracts, General Construction, Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical. Location- 700 Belvoir Rd Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462 Renovation of an existing 43,845 SF, 1-story and partial basement, Municipal Building with Township and Police Department functions, renovation of an existing 7,317 SF Public Works Building, associated site work and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. 1. Interior gypsum wallboard, including abuse-resistant gypsum board.. 2. Tile backing panels. 3. Ballistic resistant fiberglass panels for installation in gypsum board assemblies. 4. Non-load-bearing steel framing for gypsum board assemblies. 5. Structural laminate corner finishing units for gypsum board assemblies, designed to bond structurally with gypsum panels to prevent cracks. 6. Sound attenuation blankets and acoustical sealant for gypsum board assemblies. 7. Installation of access panels in gypsum board assemblies ASTM C 754, and ASTM C 840 requirements that apply to framing installation. 1. Metal pass-through evidence locker unit with hinged doors and mail slot. 2. Metal pass-through evidence locker unit in custom configuration with hinged doors and refrigerated insert. a. Main door keyed; interior doors drop keyed. b. Furnish 2 keys per lock and one master key. 1.2 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the order of Plymouth Township executed by the bidder and acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the base bid amount. Plymouth Township hereby reserves the right to reject any or all bids submitted, or any portion thereof, and also reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in bids received, when, within the sole discretions of the Township, such rejection or waiver is in the best interests of the Township. The contractor shall complete the Contractors Responsibility Certification Form provided, and shall submit the Form to the Township, to the attention of Karen B. Weiss, Manager, via E-mail to kweiss@plymouthtownship.org, no later than fourteen (14) days prior to the bid opening date, together with all documentation required by Section 2-25A(3) of Ordinance 1646, a copy of which is provided, in order to be pre-qualified before submitting a bid. The amount and type of Bid Security is stated in the Invitation to Bid. The required security must be in the form of a certified or bank cashier's check made payable to Owner or a bid bond issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in the state where the Project is located and named in the current list of "Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds" as published in the Federal Register by the Audit Staff Bureau of Accounts, U.S. Treasury Department Contractor covenants and agrees to furnish Municipality with the following bonds in a form satisfactory to the Municipality with sufficient surety or sureties, which bonds shall be attached hereto and made a part hereof: A A Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price for the faithful performance of the Agreement; B. A Material and Labor Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price for the payment of all persons performing labor or furnishing materials in connection with this Agreement; and, C. A Maintenance Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Contract Price for the maintenance of the work performed under this Agreement for a period of one (1) year from the date of completion and acceptance of the work performed under this Agreement.
