This project will entail the design, letting, project management and construction oversight of a new transit hub. The Town of Loxley will be the project manager. The company that is awarded the Landscape Architect Contract must have Workman's Compensation Insurance on all of its employees if work is done on City premises. General Liability Insurance must be maintained to hold the City harmless in the event of an accident. Awarded Landscape Architect must submit to the Town, Proof of Workman's Compensation Insurance if work is done on Town premises and General Liability Insurance specifying coverage. The Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBI) Goal is 1.9%. All current or potential government vendors are required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be awarded government contracts. No proposals will be considered unless the Landscape Architect firm, whether resident or non-resident of Alabama, is properly qualified to submit a proposal for this type of work in accordance with all applicable laws of the State of Alabama, including, where applicable, possessing a Certificate of Authorization issued by the State Board of Licensure for the State of Alabama under the CODE OF ALABAMA, Section 34-11, and further, certifies that it has the professional, technical, and administrative personnel with the specific experience and training necessary to provide the services as may be required by the Town. The winning bidder will also need to abide by all State of Alabama Procurement Policies which include Bid Protest Procedures. All FTA clauses and certifications shall be signed and certified. Furthermore, the Engineering firm will meet all current licensing and certifications necessary to perform the scope of work. In addition, the awarded Consultant if non-resident of the State, and if a corporation, shall show evidence of having qualified with the Secretary of State to do business in the State of Alabama.
