Site work for a water / sewer project in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Quaker Valley Subdivision Water Main Extension and Salvador Street Water Main & Sanitary Sewer Extension. The general requirements for types of pipe, fittings, and joints for water mains. the project consists of constructing new pavements along Whitlock Street between Colfax Street and Eight Mile Road, also along Salvador Street between Meadowlark Street and Hugo Street in the City of Farmington Hills, Michigan. a) This work shall consist of furnishing and installing water mains and connections of size and character at locations shown on the drawings, and shall include excavation, bedding, backfill, testing and sterilization. Furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, accessories, and services necessary for providing and installing the water main systems as shown on the drawings and specified herein. b) All pipe installed on this project regardless of installation methodology is proposed to have restrained joints. A majority of the installation is by directional drill methodology, with the exception of specific areas indicated on the plan profiles that are proposed as open cut, in addition to open cut areas through hydrant assembly and valve installations. The proposed project is to construct a new hot-mix-asphalt (HMA) pavement section along the existing aggregate surfaced roads. It is our understanding final grades for the proposed new pavements will generally match existing surface grades. The existing crushed limestone aggregate surface material contains a relatively high fines content and is not recommended for use in the new pavement section, although it is suitable for subgrade and need not be removed entirely.
