RADT.00005 Radnor Township is soliciting sealed bids for the installation of a pedestrian sidewalk along W Wayne Ave. with the installation of ADA Ramps, Driveway Adjustments, Full Depth Curb Replacement along W. Wayne Ave., Concrete Driveway Aprons, and other associated work. Close of questions (via PennBid) Wednesay, December 1st, 2021, at 4:00 PM EST Radnor Township reserves the right to add or delete portions of work based on budgetary constraints. The award date for this project is tentatively scheduled for Monday, December 20th, 2021. The project must be completed no later than Friday, May 13th, 2022. The Township will not accept bids from any firm/corporation that are currently in litigation with the Township. This is a prevailing wage project. In the event of a delay to the project completion terms as per the Schedule for which Contractor is solely responsible, Contractor shall pay Liquidated Damages to Radnor Township at a rate of $880 per day of delay for every day after Friday, May 13th, 2022. A bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid is required. Bid security shall be in the form of either a Bond issued by a corporate surety approved by the Secretary of Insurance to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or a certified check or an Irrevocable Letter of Credit issued by a bank licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Township Board of Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informalities and reject any or all proposals, or parts thereof, for any cause permitted by law, as it deems in the best interest of the Township. The standard under which bids will be evaluated and other bid requirements and instructions to bidders are included in the bid package. Bidder agrees that the Work will be substantially complete within 150 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in paragraph 2.03 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with paragraph 14.07.B of the General Conditions within 180 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run.
