The City of Athens is seeking quotes for the complete rewind and refurbishment of a 100hp US Motors electric motor. The repair work shall include, but may not be limited to the following items: 1. Initial on-site inspection of the motor and the location. The motor is located at the end of a wooden pier raw water pump station at 3235 Impala Point, Athens TX, 75752 2. Removal of motor and transportation back to repair facility. 3. Complete tear down and inspection of motor and all mechanical as well as rotating parts. 4. Disassemble and clean all parts 5. Check machine surfaces for proper fit 6. Balance rotor, check for straightness, and check for open bars and high resistance welds 7. Check inherent protection devices 8. Remove winding. 9. Check stator core loss after roast out process 10. 60HZ test for shorted iron 11. Rewind with class H insulation materials 12. Machine end bells if necessary and replace all bearings and seals. 13. Surge test 14. Phase Balance 15. Vacuum/Pressure impregnate winding with solventless varnish 16. Bake Stator 17. Run at full voltage and check for correct operation 18. Complete a vibration analysis 19.
