***As of January 21, 2022, the project has been awarded for the amount of $104.23.*** The Maricopa County Air Quality Department (MCAQD) is seeking multiple contractors to convert wood burning fireplaces to natural gas and properly install natural gas log sets in county residents' homes which are currently plumbed for natural gas, in support of the Maricopa County Fireplace Retrofit Program (MCFRP). The MCFRP is a program designed to reduce air pollution from wood burning fireplaces and provide residents cleaner air to breath. Maricopa County reserves the right to award in full or in part to a single vendor or multiple vendors. All questions must be submitted through Electronically ONLY by the date and time listed in the bid. Contract duration: 1 year Contract renewal: 5 annual renewals Prices good for: 150 days Contractor shall respond to homeowner's initial request for inspection/estimate within one business day. 2.2 Contractor shall schedule inspections directly with homeowner. Inspections shall include the following: 2.2.1 Verification of an installed gas meter and a gas line available on site sufficient for a gas log set installation. 2.2.2 Confirmation that the property is residential and not a commercial property. 2.2.3 Verification that the residential property has not previously had a gas log set or catalytic converter installed as part of this program. 2.2.4 Verify that the legal property owner signs all program related forms (MCAQD Authorization Form see Exhibit 5 and MCAQD Certificate of Completion/Installation Form see Exhibit 6). 2.3 Contractor shall provide a written estimate to the homeowner.
