Renovation of a detention facility in Jessup, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

The following bonds are required if the Contract Amount, including Unit Prices, Allowances and Alternates as applicable, is in excess of $100,000.00 1) Bid Bond in the amount of 5% 2) Payment and Performance Bonds in the amount of 100% The work shall be completed within _90_ calendar days from the start date of the contract. If the work is not completed within the time period specified, the contractor will be liable for liquated damages of $250.00 per calendar day as specified in the "General Conditions". The deadline for questions has been established as Monday, May 3, 2021 at 11:00 am, to assure that there is enough time to allow the A/E to provide responses and Addendum issuance if necessary. Please submit all questions to the Procurement Officer: Keon Pompey - keon.pompey@maryland.gov and Supervisor Christine Stenhouse - christine.stenhouse1@maryland.gov. Minority Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this Solicitation a. The work to be accomplished under this Contract is located at Patuxent Institution, 7555 Waterloo Rd, Jessup, Howard County, MD 20794. Work consists of providing all construction, permits, labor, materials, equipment, services, supplies, miscellany, testing and instrumentation necessary and incidental to the completion of all work as specified herein. b. The work of this contract includes replacement of existing bathroom & shower fixtures to include plumbing located in the B-Wing area dorm 3/4. Work includes replacement of supply lines to the shower area of dorm 3/4 and installation of new Toilet Partitions. c. Dimensions given are approximations provided to potentially assist the Contractor and not intended to define the project. The State assumes no responsibility for the accuracy of measurements and quantities given in this specification. d. The Contractor is strongly urged to visit the job site and take his/her own measurements, and examine the conditions under which work must be performed. Items not described in this specification, but required for a safe, complete installation in accordance with all codes, laws, regulations and generally accepted building industry practices are considered to be included and provided by the Contractor as part of this project with no additional cost to owner.
