As of March 29, 2022, project was awarded to Contractors Supply Plus but awarded amount is not available. All questions or requests for clarification of technical issues and terms pertaining to this Bid must be emailed to LaJuanna Jones-Sulton, jonessultonlm@scsk12.org and Kim Carpenter, carpenterk@scsk12.org by 2:00PM/CST on November 5, 2021.Subject line of email shall read "IFB# 11182021LJS SCS Grounds Equipment Sheds (125) Locations". Questions must specifically reference the section of the Bid to which the question pertains. In order to prevent an unfair advantage to any respondent, all questions and answers will be posted as an addendum on Procurement's website on November 10, 2021 by 4:00PM. The SCBE requests bids for SCS Grounds Equipment Sheds (125) Locations. The specifications are contained in the Design Project Manual. Responses submitted must meet or exceed all requirements. Bids that do not meet or exceed all requirements will be considered non-responsive. The Scope of Work includes the provision of prefabricated assembly or construction of one hundred twenty- five (125) new heavy-duty and highly secure storage sheds/ buildings for the storage of grounds equipment. See the attached Scope of Work (SOW) for specific information (see pp. 14-15 for detailed Scope of Work) Location: There are one hundred twenty five (125) school locations. Specific building locations for each site will be determined by one or all ofthe following: Director of Custodial & Grounds- Isaac Wright, school's principal, or school's plant manager. Proposed locations by the awarded contractor will be evaluated and considered for approval by SCS. i. Proposed site location characteristics shall be as follows: Secure and site lighted to minimize vandalism and break-ins Convenient and accessible for ease ofuse for equipment storage and access Shall not obstruct or impact any underground utilities or access to the buildings. New shed shall maintain a minimum S'-O" clearance from any other building or structures. The Work consist ofthe provision of prefabricated assembly or construction ofone hundred twenty-five (125) new heavy-duty storage sheds/ buildings. Work includes site preparation to ensure building is stable, level, and firmly secured to grade or foundations provided. The heavy-duty sheds will have minimum interior clear dimensions of 12'-0" wide X 12'-0" deep X S'-O" tall. Interior clearances greater than the minimum will be acceptable. i. Door opening shall have a minimum clearance of a'-O" wide X 7'-0" tall. Door clearances greater than the minimum will be accepted Required building characteristics Heavy-duty/ Rigid Frame Secured foundation Highly secure fabrication/ construction to discourage theft/ burglary/ break-in Non-combustible material preferred but not required. Fire-treated is acceptable to minimize fire event Vented- Minimum requirement for air movement Exterior finish- Pre-finished such as Kynar or painted / coated finish that supports minimal maintenance Acceptable material- Prefabricated or Construction Metal- 18 to 24 gauge Wood- Pre-treated CMU7 concrete Manually operated coiling doors- Lockable Manually operated garage doors- Lockable Hinged doors- Lockable- Heavy duty hinges- Continuous hinges acceptableMust minimize door racking
