Completion of the project is desired to be within 6-8 weeks from issuance of purchase order and/or Notice to Proceed. Proposals should include demolition, safety surfacing, an inclusive playground design, equipment installation, and labor. Careful consideration should be given to ensure the proposed playground is fun and appropriate for children ages 5-12 years old. The proposed playground should be aesthetically pleasing and blend with the surrounding park features. Lifetime warranty is preferred. o Playground surfacing must have at least a 10-year warranty. o Equipment must be appropriate for ages 5-12 years old. o Color scheme should match existing buildings and structures. o Equipment should be free of operational noises (no musical elements). o Equipment should be suitable for children of all abilities and encourage inclusive play. o Total cost of entire proposal including demo, surfacing, equipment, installation and inspections should not exceed $89,000.
