Drew Charter School invites qualified vendors to submit proposals for replacing the cooling tower located at the Elementary Academy. The Drew Charter School Board reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and to waive any technicalities or irregularities in proposals received. FACILITY DESCRIPTION: o THIS IS EXISTING FACILITY CONSISTING OF MULTIPLE BUILDINGS. THERE IS NO MODIFICATION TO E XISTING BUILDINGS. SCOPE OF WORK DESCRIPTION: WORK IN THIS PROJECT INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO: o REPLACEMENT OF EXISTING HVAC COOLING TOWER (QTY1) WITH NEW. EXISTING COOLING TOWER SCREEN WALLS ARE TO REMAIN. o REPLACEMENT OF EXISTING HVAC COOLING TOWER PUMPS (QTY 2) WITH NEW. PHASING: o PROJECT CONSISTS OF SINGLE BID PACKAGE. o WORK SHALL BE CONDUCTED IN SINGLE PHASE. Removal of the existing cooling tower and disconnection from the existing controls system, piping systems, and power. Preparation for installation of replacement cooling tower. 3. Removal of the existing base mounted end suction pumps serving the cooling tower and disconnection from the existing controls system, piping system, and power. Preparation for installation of the replacement base mounted end suction pumps. 4. Installation of the new Cooling Tower and reconnection to the existing control system, piping systems, as well as connection of the power system. 5. Installation of the new base mounted, end suction pumps and reconnection to the existing control system, piping systems, as well as connection of the power system. 6. Modification of the existing HVAC Control System to meet the specified Sequence of Operations in the Contract Documents. 7. Furnish and install necessary communication cards and licenses for existing communication protocols utilized. 8. Furnish and install standard trending data and alarm points as specified in the Contract Documents. 9. Modification to the existing maintenance service platform and associated grating to accommodate utility connections to the Cooling Tower, including but not limited to, supply and return hydronic piping, control conduit, power conduit, makeup water piping, etc. 10. Set up system to be viewed remotely and allow for critical alarms to be e-mailed out when system goes into alarm through the network and mail server. 11. Test and balance on the new end suction pumps and cooling tower fan to verify performance to the specified design criteria. 12. Functional Testing of the new base mounted end suction pumps and cooling tower and proof of performance and adherence to the specified sequence of operations. 13. Provide training on new graphical system along with how to customize scheduling and reviewing alarms and trend data. 14. Minimum of one (1) year parts and labor warranty on installed system and components.
