The Work consists of a four (4) classroom addition including, but not limited to: (see the construction documents for details): The Contractors are strongly encouraged to verify all existing condition, dimensions and areas prior to submitting a responsive / responsible bid. Such site visit shall be for familiarizing the Contractor with the conditions as they exist and the character of the operations to be carried on under the Contract Documents, including all existing site conditions, access to the site, physical characteristics of the site and surrounding areas. Site visits can be arranged through the Facilities Manager, Mike DiGiovanni, office phone number (856) 461-1553, cell phone number is (609) 868-0461 Construction of the addition is to begin while school is fully occupied. The contractor shall provide temporary construction barriers at all times where work is being performed. Contractor is to provide temporary a barrier and directional signage within the existing building to redirect occupants to accessible exits. The contractor will coordinate with the Owner for areas and times at which additional construction barriers are required. At no time will any construction barrier block any proposed egress path from the building. The barrier shall be non-combustible construction with metal studs and fire rated gypsum wall board and shall provide a dust and sound barrier. Interior barrier is to have a level 3 finish and painted to match adjacent existing conditions. The Contractor shall provide a single full-time onsite Superintendent / Foreman who is present for all work at all times including, but not limited to, subcontractor work. The Superintendent / Foreman is responsible to maintain a daily log of all personnel onsite. Restore all grades, lawns, concrete curbing, sidewalks, asphalt and pavement to pre-construction condition. Contractor shall locate all subsurface wires, cables, pipes and pipeline in the work area prior to construction. See General Conditions Section 2.2.3 for additional information. All construction preparation work, project startup, submittals, schedules, approvals, procurement, coordination and other preparatory tasks must commence immediately upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed or the date of the fully executed Owner/Contractor Contract, whichever comes first. The Awarded Contractor must be fully prepared to deliver and install all materials and equipment on the first day of the scheduled on Site Construction period. The on-site Construction period, during which all work on site is to be performed, is to start with Notice to Proceed and extend to December 16, 2022. S.P. 1060-050-22-1000
