The project consists of a comprehensive upgrade to the Towns Bear Creek Pump Station , replacement of the existing tertiary sand filtration process with mechanical filtration, incorporation of an ultraviolet disinfection process, replacement of the mechanical post-aeration process with cascade aeration and mechanical improvements to the Sludge Pumping Facility. The project consists of selective demolition of the following: selective demolition of the existing Bear Creek Pump Station, tertiary sand filtration building, post-aeration tankage, sludge pumping facility and miscellaneous site demolition including but not limited to concrete structures and site piping. New construction consists of a new concrete masonry unit building for the mechanical disc filtration and UV disinfection process, retrofit of existing tankage from diffused aeration to cascade aeration, mechanical improvements to the Bear Creek Pump Station and mechanical improvements to the Sludge Pumping Facility. Miscellaneous improvements including replacement of hand rails, fencing, stormwater drainage and site grading. Work includes general site construction, concrete/masonry tankage and building construction, equipment installation and process piping, electrical construction, plumbing construction, HVAC construction, instrumentation and controls overall Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).
