As of 11/18/2021 Estimated cost of 4,500,000 to $5,000,000. The Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) invites qualified general contractors to bid on summer of 2022 exterior window replacement projects at the nine district buildings listed above. The projects are being funded by ESSER II funds, which requires the use of the Davis Bacon Prevailing Wage Rates for Kenosha County. Project scope of work includes, but is not limited to, exterior window replacement, general carpentry, masonry repairs, sealants, interior finishes and window treatments. Demolition and disposal of the existing insulated panels and windows will require the services of an abatement contractor. KUSD will contract separately for this scope of work, which includes material testing, abatement, air testing and material disposal related to the abatement work. Detailed schedule coordination of demolition work and general construction services under these bid packages will be required. . This project will be considered a "Turn-Key" window installation project, which includes all of the necessary permits, fees and approvals included in the contractor's bid. The Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids/proposals, to waive any informality or technicality in any bid/proposal submitted, and to accept any part of a bid/proposal deemed to be in the best interest of KUSD.
