DASNY is soliciting the services of a single prime (electrical) contractor to replace the switchgear and lighting located within the Ellicott Complex at the State University of New York University at Buffalo in Amherst, New York. The work associated with this project consists of, but is not limited to, the following: Replacement of main switchboard, main distribution panelboards, and associated feeders and branch circuits. Replacement of existing lighting and appliance panelboards. Replacement of existing transformer and associated feeders. Retrofit existing fluorescent strip lighting in corridors and stairwells with LED retrofit kits. Retrofit existing incandescent downlights with LED retrofit kits. Retrofit existing stairwell lighting with LED retrofit kits. Replacement of existing exist signs throughout building. Replacement of existing electrical room door. Removal and legal disposal of existing hazardous materials. The work of the project is to bid as single trade prime construction contract in Buffalo, New York. All corresponding firms must demonstrate experience in the completion of similar projects. One Contract will be awarded for the work of this project. Construction Contract estimated at $1,000,000 to $1,100,000. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 2% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 2% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 3% *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Ellicott Complex Electrical Upgrades Phase 3 - Richmond Quad Including Asbestos Abatement and Hazardous Materials Abatement REVISE the RFI due date from December 1, 2021 to December 14, 2021 at 5:00 PM.
