Renovation of an educational facility in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
In general the work consists of replacing two hydraulic kitchen service elevators at the Blackhawk Commons Building at UW Oshkosh. The work includes complete removal and disposal of original elevator equipment, cabs, and controls; and installation of new power units (pumps, motors, valves, oil), elevator cabs, car and hoist way doors, controls with fire services, three-phase disconnect switch, and underground jack assemblies. Project work will also include re-drilling for jack assemblies as required The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements.
